About Me
About Me
I'm a Journalism postgraduate student at Oxford Brookes University.
I'm also a freelance member of the heute journal newsroom at the German public broadcaster ZDF, working as a news writer, researcher, and fact checker. From time to time I support the team behind the ZDF politics talk show Wie geht's, Deutschland? / Am Puls as a freelance researcher and fact checker.
I did my Bachelor's at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität in Mainz, Germany, studying Political Science and Audiovisual Publishing. During my two semesters abroad at San Francisco State University, USA, I focused on print journalism and International Relations.
I have produced several published video segments and unpublished articles in the course of my studies. In the future, I aspire to work full-time in the field of political journalism.
I grew up near Koblenz, Germany.
In high school, I developed a growing interest in politics. I also discovered my passions for filmmaking and writing. I joined my school's student newspaper and became editor-in-chief. I also started experimenting with cameras.
At first, I wanted to become a director and make fictional movies. But the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to combine filmmaking with politics. Which landed me right in the field of video journalism. And that's what I'm doing right now.
Nevertheless, I have also discovered my passion for English-language writing. So: Where is this going to lead me?
